32 campgrounds under a certified dark sky in Colorado
The National Park Service and the Forest Service run nearly all of them. White River National Forest and Dinosaur National Monument hold more of them than anywhere else in the state. Sizes run from 1 to 267 sites.
A campground is listed when it sits inside a certified National Park Service unit, within ten miles of an International Dark Sky park, reserve or sanctuary, or within five miles of a certified community. Certification is DarkSky International’s and the join is ours.
